Migrations
Migration to Adobe Commerce (from Magento or other platforms)
Migrating a store badly tanks your SEO, your conversion and your operation for months. We've done dozens of migrations: Magento 1 → Adobe Commerce, Magento Open Source → Adobe Commerce Cloud, VTEX/Shopify/proprietary → AC. Without losing a single URL or a single historical order.
Full SEO preservation
Before migrating, we extract ALL indexed URLs from Google Search Console. Each one has its 301 redirect mapped to the new platform. SEO isn't lost — link equity transfers.
- URL export from GSC + legacy sitemap
- One-to-one 301 redirect map
- Preservation of schema.org and metadata
- Post-migration GSC monitoring (3 months)
- Recovery plan if any keyword drops
Data migration without loss
Customers, orders, catalog, reviews, wishlists, store credit — everything migrates via validated scripts. ETL with checkpoints and rollback. Post-migration reconciliation with comparative reports.
- Customers + order history
- Complete catalog + images + categories
- Reviews and ratings with author
- Wishlists and B2B purchase lists
- Store credit and reward points
- Preserved audit logs
Magento 1 → Adobe Commerce (Magento 2) migration
Magento 1 reached end-of-life in June 2020. No more security patches, no more improvements. If you're still running on M1, you're taking on legal risk (PCI) and losing features. We migrate to modern Adobe Commerce with 3-6 month delivery.
- Assessment of custom M1 modules
- Rewrite of incompatible modules
- Theme migration (M1 theme → Hyvä or custom)
- Data migration with Data Migration Tool
- UAT testing with real users
Migration from other platforms
We also migrate from Shopify, VTEX, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, PrestaShop and proprietary stores. Each platform has its quirks — our team already knows them.
- Shopify → Adobe Commerce (preserving checkout)
- VTEX → Adobe Commerce (multi-country LATAM)
- WooCommerce/PrestaShop → Adobe Commerce
- Proprietary/custom → Adobe Commerce
- Marketplaces (MercadoLibre) → own store
Zero-downtime cutover strategy
The switchover window is critical. We run a <15 minute window using DNS cutover, prior incremental sync and feature flags. Your store doesn't go down for an hour while customers search for products.
- Incremental order sync pre-cutover
- DNS cutover in minutes (TTL prepared)
- Feature flags for instant rollback
- War room during cutover
- Automated post-cutover validation
Frequently asked questions
- How long does a full migration take?
- It depends on catalog size and customization. M1 → AC standard: 3-5 months. M1 with 50+ custom modules: 6-9 months. Shopify/VTEX → AC: 4-6 months. Includes testing, UAT and 30 days of post-launch support.
- Will my Google rankings hold?
- Yes, if the migration is done right. We do 1:1 mapping of legacy → new URLs with 301 redirects, preserve metadata and schema.org, and monitor Search Console for 3 months post-launch. Typically there's a 2-3 week dip followed by full recovery.
- Can I keep running Magento 1 with external security patches?
- There are providers of extended M1 patches but none approved by Adobe. They don't strictly meet PCI DSS and will stop being viable. If you process cards, your bank may sanction you. Migrating is the only sustainable path.
